A guide to choosing
Find your everyday fit.
Start with the details.
A style name or size label does not tell the whole story. Compare the measurements of the individual bag with what you carry and how you like to wear it.
Read the dimensions.
Width, height and depth.
Width describes the bag from side to side. For shapes that taper, check whether the measurement is taken at the base, the opening or the widest point.
Height describes the body from its base to its top, usually excluding handles. Depth describes the front-to-back measurement of the base or body. Confirm the measuring points when the shape is unusual.
A flexible bag can change shape when filled. Treat measurements as a guide and review the photographs alongside them.
Consider the carry.
Handles and straps.
Handle or strap drop is the distance from the top of the bag to the underside of the handle or strap at its highest point. Confirm how it has been measured on the individual piece.
For an adjustable strap, check the available range and whether the strap is detachable. Compare the drop with a bag you already find comfortable, allowing for the clothes you tend to wear.
A style shown with a strap elsewhere does not mean that strap is included. Only the accessories listed for the specific bag are part of your purchase.
Make room for
what comes with you.
Measure the essentials you plan to carry: a phone, wallet, glasses case, notebook or device. Compare them with the opening as well as the body dimensions.
Pockets, compartments and a narrowing opening can change usable space. Exterior measurements alone do not confirm that a particular device or item will fit.
Use a bag you already own as a reference. For a closer comparison, ask us for the measurement or view that would help you decide.
